Ministry in Livingstone Zambia

The DTS Ministry Orphanages

What a lovely family at Calvary food productionChurch Orphanage! The team, over ice cream, football (soccer), and drinks, have started to make a real heart connection with the eight boys and one girl, that have mainly come from living on the streets.

Around 100 children gathered at the daycare orphanage in the Livingstone area for worship, dramas, games, Bible teaching and prayer. This is what we came to Africa for!

We fell in love with the little ones at another orphange! This orphanage housed around 40 children, who were really hungry for love. The staff are doing such a great job, and were grateful for the help we were able to bring.

we had a crusade with preaching, worship, dramas and testimonies in the food market just up the road from the YWAM base. It was such an exciting time seeing God move!

Salvations lead to friendships after the crusade in the market, building relationships in the food market as we continue to go back and spend time talking and praying and see some come to church or attend Saturday and Sunday events at the base

Salvations were happening on the streets as team members walked near the base so we decided to focus on the local community with a day of door to door evangelism around ‘Ellen Britte’l. 3 People where born again and we where struck with the great needs.

The poverty we saw was hard to swallow. So we decided we must show the love of God practically as well as proclaim it. We targeted 4 very needy families with food packages and looked for other families to just serve practically.

Saturday morning is the most fun to run I think with loads of bouncing under twelve’s who treat this place as their second home. Saturday afternoons is youth ministry time where our dramas and teaching has been perfect. Sunday afternoon is the biggest day with every bench seat and wall taken by I don’t know how many over eighteen year old Christians who love to praise and we have had the privilege of being part of discipleing.

Apostolic Faith Mission has been the perfect Church to be ministering with. Sundays have been more than lively with our teams involved in worship preaching testifying and praying for people as we saw God bless and this Sunday release His healing power as we prayed for people and Pastor Fred our main contact here was preached on healing and evangelism. Praise God! He is Good. All the time!

Mini-DTS at Apostolic Faith Mission Thursday evenings, our team has had the chance to take some of the things we learned during our lecture phase and teach them to people from the local community and members of the AFM congregation. Each time we have seen God move!

Personal evangelism explosion! Our team has been growing immensely in the area of personal evangelism. Members of our team have been building relationships and sharing the Word of God to those people, as well as taking the initiative to share and pray with people they have only just met. Making our lives outreach is what it’s all about!

CINDTS goes door-to-door in “Naughty Broad,” youth meeting at YWAM Livingstone the community that Apostolic Faith Mission is located in. We have had the exciting and stretching privilege of taking the Gospel from house to house with members of AFM, and praying for people. We have seen about 15 people dedicate their lives to Christ over about 7 days of this ministry!

Curio Market Music and Friendship Ministry We have had many opportunities to talk to and worship with people at the tourist curio market just down the street. We have formed many friendships with the people working there and have found them eager to come with us to AFM church, as well as some of our other outreach times!
